Melissa Shevela

"Based on my experience, I would not recommend Joe the Home Pro.I used Joe the Home Pro for a pre-purchase inspection in Naples, which included a pool inspection as well. The report overall passed, and did not identify any concerns with the pool. After closing, I discovered the pool had multiple leaks. A leak detection company confirmed plumbing issues and identified visible epoxy patching near the steps and walls. These appear to be prior repair attempts, but they were not documented or flagged for further evaluation in the inspection report by Joe the Home Pro.I understand inspections are non-invasive and aren’t meant to uncover hidden plumbing issues. However, visible signs of prior repair should at least be noted so a buyer can take a closer look.As a buyer, that information would have definitely made me pause or bring in a pool specialist before closing. When I raised this concern, the company declined responsibility and did not even offer to refund the inspection fee. I was left paying thousands of dollars out of pocket to repair the pool leak because I relied on their inspection.Sharing my experience so others can be aware and make a fully informed decision."
